Intro

My name is Insidious, but most peeps call me Sid. JackedN was founded back in 2004 as the stomping grounds for a well known SWG guild known as Task Force Shen. The idea behind Task Force Shen was to embellish our immersion into SWG by having a real connection to Star Wars lore and set some sort of history into the game. In the Star Wars EU Task Force Shen was an elite SpecForce unit called upon to execute silent missions throughout the Mid Rim during the Galactic Civil War.

As some of us become unbearably frustrated with SOE.   We decided to branch out and try new paths.  WoW was the major focus of this diversion and for some of us it seemed the correct choice. With this widening of our gaming scope, came the birth of Shen Legion. There was no real connection to the game, but an extension of what we had already established. Shen Legion became a very successful and powerful guild in WoW, but lacked the glue that held Task Force Shen together for so long (lasted even longer then Shen Legion).

To The Future

These lessons have taught me one thing: To have a truly successful community there are two types of gamers that need to be appeased. Those that are looking to be immersed into the game, thus becoming a part of it, and those pursuing the latest and greatest. What I have found is that those looking for immersion are truly more dedicated than the latter. However, to be a powerful guild requires a mix of both types, and it is to that which I have dedicated my approach.

Within the JackedN community there have always been great leaders. Players who can organize guild activities, provide direction, and mentorship. It is my goal to help launch those new guilds, and provide the resources to make them successful by establishing a link to the game so our members looking for immersion are appeased, and recruiting and management tools to help build the guilds to their fullest potential.
